December 2025
25/00177/SCRย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Land adj. Wood Corner Caravan Site, Old London Roadย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย EIA NOT REQUIRED
EIA Screening Opinion request for a proposed solar photovoltaic (PV) farm and associated infrastructure.
The application had been noted on the MDC weekly list, the Parish Council are not formally consulted on this type of application.ย However, in liaison with councillors the Clerk sent a delegated response that the Parish Council considered an EIA was required.
However,ย MDC analysis of the application determined that the impact of the development is not likely to have a significant impact to an extent that the development would be EIA development, and therefore, it would not be necessary for an Environmental Statement to be submitted as part of the current planning application for the development.ย It is considered that the material considerations of the development can be dealt with through the planning application process.
