Woodham Walter Parish Council organises a monthly community café. “Walter’s” is held on the Third Thursday of the month from 10-12 in Woodham Walter Village Hall, Rectory Road, Woodham Walter, CM9 6RE. The first café in April 2023 was well attended with about 40 visitors throughout the morning – some stayed for a quick cuppa and some came for the whole morning. There were lots of very positive comments and since then we have met on the third Thursday of the each month. Why not come along and give it a try?
Each month we have guests and information available to give advice on Health & Wellbeing, Crime and Fraud Prevention, Home Safety and lots more over the months. And most importantly tea, coffee and biscuits so our residents can get together in a social setting for a cuppa and a chat.
There is also a children’s corner with colouring and a few puzzles for our younger visitors.
Walter’s Café & Community Hub is funded by Woodham Walter Parish Council, the event is free for everyone. Our refreshments are often donated by local supermarkets and we thank our group of volunteers who help us each month.
